On January 25, 2023, we celebrated in Brussels the 50th anniversary of IPRA-CINDER. The event was attended by representatives from Argentina, Brazil, Spain, Finland, Honduras, Netherlands, Peru, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Romania, South Africa, Turkeye and the United Kingdom. The event was broadcast and almost two hundred people from Europe and the Americas followed it.
The event was opened by the Spanish registrar and member of IPRA-CINDER, Carmen Miquel, who acted as master of ceremonies. She introduced to Alfonso Candau, Secretary General of IPRA-CINDER. Next, the representatives of the founding member countries of CINDER took the floor: Argentina with Sebastián J. Cosola and Zulma Dodda, from the Universidad Notarial Argentina; Ismael Molina, representing Puerto Rico and María Emilia Adán from Registradores of Spain.
The inaugural conference was given by Jacques Vos from Kadaster of the Netherlands.
It continued with the round table “The evolution of registries in the last 50 years” moderated by Luisa Clode, president of ELRA and with the participation of: Jose Antonio Saavedra of the Instituto Peruano de Derecho Registral from Peru, Ricardo Noboa, National Director of Dirección Nacional de Registros de Títulos of the Dominican Republic, and Sadettin Tunas, General Director of the Registry and Cadastre of Turkeye participated in the round table.
